[COMPANY NAME] ("we", "us") operates the Gutprint mobile app and related services ("Gutprint"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and, optionally, your name.
  • Health and wellness data you enter: meals and ingredients, symptoms and their severity, bowel movements (Bristol type), sleep, stress, water, exercise, menstrual-cycle flags, medications you choose to note, and your onboarding answers (for example conditions and goals).
  • Meal photos: when you scan a meal, the photo is sent to our servers and our AI provider to identify foods. We do not store meal photos after the analysis is returned.
  • Purchase data: subscription status and transaction identifiers from Apple, Google and our billing processor (RevenueCat). We never see your card details.
  • Technical data: app version, platform, time zone and basic logs needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To provide the app: logging, trigger analysis, insights, reports and reminders.
  • To process AI analyses of meals and weekly summaries.
  • To manage subscriptions and provide support.
  • To keep Gutprint secure and improve reliability.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share health data with advertisers or data brokers.

Service providers

We share data only with processors that help us run Gutprint, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Anthropic (AI analysis of meal photos/descriptions and weekly summaries)
  • RevenueCat, Apple and Google (subscriptions)

Your choices and rights

  • Access and export: create a report from the app at any time, or email us for a full export.
  • Delete: Profile → Delete account permanently deletes your account and all logged data.
  • Notifications: reminders are optional and can be turned off in the app or in system settings.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records (for example transaction records) by law.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access is restricted to authorized staff. We will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach as required by law.

Children

Gutprint is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK).
