When to see a doctor
Gutprint is a tracker, not a diagnosis. Know the red flags.
2 min read
Gutprint helps you spot patterns between food and symptoms. It can't diagnose conditions, and some symptoms need medical attention.
See a doctor promptly if you have:
- Blood in your stool or black, tarry stools
- Unexplained weight loss
- Symptoms that wake you up at night
- Fever, persistent vomiting, or severe pain
- Difficulty swallowing
- A change in bowel habits after age 50
- A family history of bowel cancer, celiac disease or inflammatory bowel disease
- Anemia (iron deficiency)
Get tested before cutting gluten If you suspect celiac disease, get tested before removing gluten. Tests can be inaccurate once gluten is out of your diet.
Bring your data Gutprint's doctor report summarises your symptoms, bowel patterns and suspected triggers over the past weeks, which makes appointments faster and more productive.
